HAEL is a nonprofit initiative with a simple mission: to help people find their footing when life feels uncertain — and to keep that help free for anyone who needs it.
We meet people at the moment the ground shifts — a lost job, a major change, a stretch of feeling overwhelmed or unsure what to do next — and give them something concrete: a clear picture of where they stand, one real first step, and a guide to talk it through with. No jargon, no pressure, no cost to begin.
HAEL was created by Maxim, a practitioner with 30+ years of working with people, beginning in professional sport in 1986. Across thousands of one-on-one sessions, one pattern kept repeating: what helps in hard moments isn't more information — it's a clear first step, and someone walking beside you. HAEL turns that into something anyone can reach.
HAEL is a progressive spiritual initiative — open, not orthodox. It's practical first, with room for something deeper if and when you're ready.

How we keep it free: HAEL is operated by Global Interfaith Progressive Spiritual Ministry, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 33-4159588). We're funded by donations and grants, so the people who need HAEL most never have to pay to use it.
